One reader, in particular, provided a screenshot of Vodafone pushing the update for the S6 edge in the UK, as firmware version G925FXXU5EQBG. SamMobile also received reports from other European countries, such as Switzerland, Germany, and Italy.
It is still unknown whether the update is limited to Europe or not. However, even if it is, it is expected that it will soon make its way into other markets. Keep in mind that some carriers may need more time than others to pursue updates, and it is likely to be received before unlocking devices, as it will come directly from Samsung.
There has been a lot of improvements in the 1.3 GB update, such as the new interface – Samsung Experience, which is more cleaner than before. Another additional Samsung Cloud, a cloud storage backup feature, allows users to use up to 15 GB for free. It automatically syncs native applications, such as contacts, calendars, and notes, so all your important data can be secure.
